My handmade mittens are crafted from up-cycled 100% wool sweaters and lined with new soft fleece. All wool is washed and "felted" in hot soapy water. A portion of the proceeds is donated directly to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado each year.

My Aunt Ann was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2008. I contacted my local Alzheimer's Association chapter and they were a life saving resource. They provided educational tools and support to help me get through the complicated journey I was on. Sadly, Ann passed away from Alzheimer's in 2012. The Alzheimer's Association has many educational resources, support groups, and counseling services to help you navigate this terrible disease. Please go here and read about it.
Mitten Care: Mittens may be hand washed in Woolite in cool or warm water. Dry flat. Occasionally an 85% wool sweater or wool blend slips into my pile; I then layer a 100% wool liner to ensure maximum warmth. |
