Hand Hooked wool rug sized 32" x 54". Original design and hooked by me. This rug was started quite a few years ago. I finished it halfway and then set it aside for several years. It was finally completed it in 2019, rug hooking is one time consuming art. Backing is 100% linen and the wools used range from as is up-cycled plaids to hand dyed. Why is it so expensive? Wools cost anywhere from $30-$70/yard depending on how fancy or specialized the wool is! I love flowers, patterns, design and all things colorful. This bright colorful rug will cheer up any space.
Hand hooked 100% wool rug sized 28" x 46". Original design and hooked by me.
Backing is 100% unbleached linen and the wool strips range in size - they were all hand torn for this specific look.
The background has a variety of up-cycled wool, all over-dyed by hand for consistency. I drew this pattern while in Santa Fe, NM in 2019, hence the name.
The rug is very "cushiony" and soft; I hooked the extra wide strips very high. It used a lot of wool. The petals will crush down with use but it should be a super durable rug.
